SYNOPSIS
This book, Encourage, is a testament to all that has been collectively achieved and created during the 2020 edition of the Canon Student Development Programme. Its purpose is to showcase and amplify the genius and talent of the students, mentors and lecturers who took part in this initiative. It is proof of their integrity of purpose and relentless dedication to photography.

What is it like being being a woman in India? In Chennai, I worked with the NGO Siragu which provides training in tailoring for disadvantaged women. After marriage, women have to leave their jobs to take care about children and the home. Thanks to the NGO, women can escape their housewife situation. In a local slum, I met three workers: Rani, Ayisha and Vennila. They shared with me their experiences, the issues they have to face, their leisure activities and their daily life.
